Life After Undergrad

What I’m Reading

As part of my 101 goals in 1001 days, I plan to read 100 new books. I almost always choose books that have been recommended to me, so this is my way of keeping up with my progress but also sharing my great finds with you!

Know of a book you think I might like? Want to tell me how much you loved/hated/didn’t care about one of the books on my list. Let me know! Email me anytime.

Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Hilarious Sedaris

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer

The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri

The Road Cormac McCarthy

The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao Junot Diaz

The Road Bernhard Schlink. Very unexpected. Good to the last drop.

The Stone Diaries Carol Shields

The Pillars of the Earth Ken Follett. THICK book.

Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim David Hilarious Sedaris.

Girl with a Pearl Earring Tracy Chevalier

Love the One You’re With Emily Giffin. Quick, easy beach read. I’m almost embarrassed to put this on the list. But I read it, so there.

Little Bee Chris Cleave. INSANELY GOOD. I want everyone I know to read this.

Water for Elephants Sara Gruen. Circus in the Depression Era. I was highly entertained and I learned a lot along the way.

Let the Great World Spin Colum McCann

The Billionaire’s Vinegar Benjamin Wallace. I know nothing about wine, but was really intrigued by this book. It can be slow and confusing at some parts but it made for an entertaining and surprisingly fascinating read.

American Wife Curtis Sittenfeld

The Four Agreements Don Miguel Ruiz

A Year in Provence Peter Mayle

When You Are Engulfed in Flames David Sedaris

I Was Told There’d Be Cake by Sloane Crosley.

Work Hard. Be Nice. (Jay Matthews)
