Visitor in My New City
Tyler and I have a don’t-ask-don’t-tell policy. If you don’t ask us what the heck is going on with us, we don’t have to tell you an answer. Which is good, because we don’t have one.
With that being said, we had a fantastic weekend. Tyler flew in to explore Little Rock with me which meant that we ate at every favorite place in town and then some. Because that’s how we vacation…we eat our way through a city.

It was fun to show off my new little city. The airport sucks and there are no major sports teams and guess who is playing in Little Rock soon? NO ONE. Except Taylor Swift. But it is a charming little place and the leaves have been changing colors, the bridge I drive over every day is gorgeous and I know the exact location of every donut shop in town. Which makes me the best tour guide ever.

It was such a great weekend that it felt like a vacation. But Tyler left eventually. And everyone asked, “Were you sad?” And I said “Yeah…but I’m used to it.”
And I wish that wasn’t my answer. I wish this wasn’t what we were used to.
